The Golden Bears were in post-season action and Nehnevaj was named the River States Conference (RSC) Runner of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year.

Nehnevaj finished first during the RSC Championship to punch his ticket to nationals (NAIA) with a time of 26:20. The Vancouver, Washington native defeated the rest of the 120 opponents by 17 seconds. Nehnevaj's finish also put him on the All-RSC first team.
