MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - WVU Tech swimming will host their first home meet while two other Golden Bear teams will be traveling this weekend. Volleyball and men's soccer will be looking for wins in two different match-ups each.

SATURDAY - OCTOBER 18 Volleyball at St. Andrews Presbyterian College - 11:00 a.m.The Golden Bears will be in Laurinburg, North Carolina Saturday for the St. Andrews Triangular. Tech will face off against St. Andrews Presbyterian College, the host school, in their first match of the day.
The squad will be working to snap a four-game losing streak and grab their seventh and eigth victories of the season. Tech holds a record of 6-20 in 2014. Their opponent, the Knights, are at an even 11-11 so far this season.
Swimming vs. King University - 1:00 p.m.Tech will host King University of Tennessee at the WVU Tech Pool in the Baisi Athletic Center for their home opener Saturday. The men's and women's squads are coming off great showings at the West Virginia State Games Oct. 11.
Men's swimming took second place only to NCAA DI West Virginia University and outscored last year's Appalachian Swimming Confernce champions, Wheeling Jesuit University who finished third. The women's team took down Davis & Elkins College and conference opponent, Alderson Broaddus University.
Volleyball vs. Chowan University - 1:00 p.m.In their final game of the week, Tech will play against Chowan University at the St. Andrews Triangular. Chowan is 16-5 this season and riding a four-game win streak.
During the tri-match at Concord University in Athens, West Virginia Tuesday, Tech was led on the night by senior
Haley Pauley and sophomore
Keyonna Morrow, both recording 10 kills. On defense, junior
Noelle Day posted 11 digs for the team-high.
Men's Soccer at Cleary University - 4:00 p.m. The Golden Bears were able to get two victories in one day Wednesday vs. Davis & Elkins College and Penn State Beaver. The win over the Senators marks the first time the program has defeated the NCAA DII team.
Tech, recently voted second in the United State Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) coaches poll, now holds a record of 12-1-1 in 2014. The Golden Bears boast a seven game win streak and rank second in the USCAA in overall goals scored with 89.
SUNDAY - OCTOBER 19 Men's Soccer at Andrews University - 2:00 p.m.Seniors

Glenroy Miller were celebrated at halftime of the Penn State Beaver game in front of friends and family at Schoenbaum Soccer Complex.
Freshman
Alex Pastor currently leads the team with 13 goals while junior
Sam Laughton is on top in assists with eight. Pastor is second in assists with seven while Laughton has netted 11 goals.
