Haley Pauley had nine kills and junior
Jacque Carroll added eight kills to lead the WVU Tech volleyball team to their second straight victory. The Golden Bears defeated the University of Charleston-Beckley 3-0 with set scores of 25-10, 25-13 and 25-17.
In addition to her match-high nine kills, Pauley also totaled a match-best three blocks (two solo / one assisted), nine digs and an ace. Carroll finished with six digs and a solo block. Both players recorded strong attack percentages of .471 and .417, respectively.
Sophomore
Mackenzie Snare chipped in five kills with sophomores
Brianna Bench and
Hannah Atkins tallying four and three kills each to round out the Golden Bears' attack.
Guiding Tech's offense was redshirt freshman setter
Michala Dean, who marked 27 assists.
Juniors
Noelle Day and
Chelsea Dean led all Tech players with 12 digs each. Sophomore
Brianna Whaley produced 10 digs on defense.
The Golden Bears will look to extend their win streak in a tri-match hosted by Salem International University tomorrow, Saturday. Tech will face off against Virginia Union College at 12:00 p.m. followed by a match vs. host school, Salem International at 3:00 p.m.
