WILMORE, Kentucky - With help of three goals from freshman
Alex Pastor, the second time in as many games, the WVU Tech men's soccer team defeated Asbury College 3-0 Saturday evening. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 7-1-1 in 2014 while the Eagles are 4-6.
The first goal for Pastor was set up by the great play of fellow classmate
Miguel Casado, who marked the assist as Pastor was able to find the back of the net in the 22
nd minute.
The second strike from the Elche, Alicante, Spain native came in the 30
th minute when freshman
Sven Biansumba assisted him in getting the ball past Asbury's goalkeeper John Burns.
Defense for both sides were able to keep the score 2-0 until the second half when Pastor added his third goal to secure the hat trick and Tech's three-goal shutout victory with a blast in the 64
th minute after the perfect pass from junior Carlos Sendin.
On the afternoon, Tech tallied six shots on goal with three from Pastor, two from sophomore
Ryan Baker and one from Biansumba.

Hunter Moles grabbed the win in net after 79:51 minutes of play while freshman
Pol Bernaldo saw 10:09 minutes of action.
As a team, the Golden Bears held an edge in shots 15-2.
Tech will be at Washington Adventist University Oct. 7 and 8 for two games against the Shock in Takoma Park, Maryland.
