MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - The WVU Tech volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision Saturday to St. Andrews Presbyterian College at the Baisi Athletic Center. The Golden Bears fell 25-23, 21-25, 22-25, 10-25.
Junior
Jacque Carroll had 19 digs, 15 assists, 13 kills, four blocks and two aces. Senior
Haley Pauley added 40 digs, 11 kills, a block and an assist. Freshman
Michala Dean passed out a team-high 19 assists while grabbing 16 digs and a kill.
Other contributers for Tech (2-11) included sophomores
Brianna Bench and
Keyonna Morrow and junior
Chelsea Dean. Bench registered five blocks and four each of aces and kills and Morrow had four kills, three blocks and an ace. Dean tallied 39 digs for the Golden Bears.
The Golden Bears return to action Sept. 24 when they hit the road for a match-up against the University of Rio Grande. The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
