WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina — WVU Tech (7-2, 1-1 KIAC) women's soccer faced Salem College Friday afternoon, falling in overtime 3-2 and marking the fifth contest they have taken to extra minutes in 2015.
The Golden Bears found themselves down 1-0 to begin the second half before sophomore
Tristen Kilman scored her fifth goal of the season (58') off the assist of freshman and this past week's USCAA Player of the Week,
Alexandra Klein.

Caitlin Foster, who recorded her third collegiate goal, found the back of the net off the perfect pass by sophomore
Katrina Fairbairn in the 65
th minute, giving Tech a 2-1 lead over Salem. The Spirits answered back to knot the game 2-2 (72') and ultimately send it into extra minutes.
Salem finished the game in minute 98, posting a goal and making the score a final 3-2.

Sydney Schaeffer (5-1) recorded eight saves for the complete game.
The game scheduled for Saturday against Warren Wilson College has been canceled due to inclement weather. Tech will take to the field again for the KIAC Women's Soccer Game of the Week when they face conference foe Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky October 8.
