BECKLEY, West Virginia — WVU Tech men's basketball defeated Bluefield State College in Beckley, West Virginia Saturday afternoon, 69-65. The Golden Bears are now 4-3 this season while the Blues hold a record of 1-3.
Tech had three players in double-digits with sophomore
Ryan Atkins leading the scoring efforts with 14 points, including 6-for-7 shooting from the field and pulling down two rebounds.
Juniors
Paul Stone and
Ra'Shaud Kincaid finished with 13 and 12 points respectively. Stone was just shy of a double-double with nine rebounds while blocking one Blue ball. Kincaid was 5-for-12 from the field and dished a game-high four assists.

Patrick Gnagbo also posted six points and an assist. Fellow classmate
Matthew Kallead had eight points and two rebounds.
As a team, the Gold and Blue went 24-for-54 (44.4 percent) from the field while shooting 16-for-21 (76.2 percent) from the bonus. Tech outscored their opponent in the first half 44-36 while Bluefield State was on top in the second half 29-25.
Tech will play again November 28 and 29 in the NAIA DII Showcase in Kingsport, Tennessee where they will face St. Thomas University and Southeastern University.
