MONTGOMERY, West Virginia — The WVU Tech women's swimming team won 89-67 against Alderson Broaddus University Saturday morning, winning two of their last three duals and moving to 2-3 this season.
The Golden Bears took first in both relays including the 200 medley relay (1:55.37) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:59.93). The winning medley relay consisted of freshman
Isabela Kiesewetter Zandavalli, sophomore
Kendra Monnin and juniors
Francine Meyer and
Janay Wright-Parks. Seniors
Rubhi Garcia-Mercado and
Shannon Wiercioch, freshman
Mariana Loureiro and Meyer were on the 400 free team.

Monnin was the winner (2:17.74) in the 200 IM followed by Loureiro who finished second (2:25.50). In the 100 free, Meyer captured first (56.21) while Garcia-Mercado came in third (1:01.99).

Kiesewetter Zandavalli won the 100 backstroke (1:02.58). Monnin swam a winning time of 1:12.22 in the 100 breaststroke.

Next, the Gold and Blue will travel to Akron, Ohio for the Zippy Invite on December 4.
