FAIRMONT, West Virginia — For the first time in program history since WVU Tech reinstated swimming, the women's squad took the victory in a dual Saturday against Fairmont State University, 114-105.
Highlights for the women include freshman Isabela Kiesewetter Zandaval with a first place finish in the 100 Backstroke (1:02.78) and 200 Backstroke (2:12.63) and freshman
Mariana Loureiro was first in the 500 Free (5:47.71).
Junior
Francine Meyer achieved first with a time of 1:02.23 in the 100 Butterfly while also touching first in the 50 Free with a time of 25.61. Sophomore
Kendra Monnin swam to a top finish in the 200 IM, touching at 2:15.55.
The Golden Bears will next host West Virginia Wesleyan in the Baisi Athletic Center next Saturday, November 14.
