WAYNESBURG, Pennsylvania — The WVU Tech wrestling team traveled to Waynesburg University Saturday for a quad match against NCAA DIII teams including the host school, Waynesburg. Tech also faced nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University and Stevens Institute of Technology falling 0-3 on the day.
The Golden Bears are now 2-6 in dual meets this season after scores of 43-9 (vs. Waynesburg), 48-3 (vs. Stevens Institute) and 48-3 (vs. Baldwin Wallace).
Senior
Conrad Lacey dominated the 157 weight class finishing with a perfect 3-0 record Saturday. The Anchorage, Alaska native won by decision in all three match-ups including a 4-3 decision against Waynesburg, an 8-2 decision versus Baldwin Wallace and a 3-2 score in his final bout against Stevens Institute.
Terry Nance II (197) also scored points for the Gold and Blue, recording a pin at 5:57 when he faced Waynesburg's Tristan Nicholson.
Tech will return to the mat in the new year for their first home meet of the season, January 8 against St. Andrews University.
