LAURINBURG, North Carolina - The WVU Tech baseball team lost at St. Andrews University, 9-0, Sunday in Laurinburg, North Carolina. The Golden Bears defeated the Knights, 1-0 in game one while falling in game two of the three-game series, 2-1 Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Golden Bears dropped the series and now hold a record of 2-6, the Knights improve to 5-8.
St. Andrews did not trail Sunday after scoring one run in the first inning against Tech starter sophomore
Jayson Sykora (0-2). Sykora finished after 2.0 innings of work with an earned run on two hits and a strike out.

Dylan Harvey Xavier Barriere led the way, each going 2-for-4 while also recording a steal a piece. Senior
Austin Lucas and junior
Carlos Diaz had a hit each for the Golden Bears.
The Gold and Blue are scheduled to host Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Ohio) at the Douglas M. Epling Stadium in East Bank, West Virginia, February 27-28.
