ELKINS, West Virginia - The WVU Tech baseball team split a pair of games Sunday afternoon against Davis and Elkins College, completing the weekend's series 3-1 over the Senators. The Golden Bears grabbed the early lead to win game one 18-3 before falling to the Senators in the final contest, 5-3.
The split gives Tech a 16-14 record for the season while the D&E improve to 2-14 overall.

Lucas knocked a home run in the fifth inning for four of his RBI while Hudson, 3-for-4 at the plate, hit a double to right center in the second to score Diaz.
Sophomore
Austin Southcott (3-0) stays undefeated on the mound for the Golden Bears, putting in 5.0 innings of work, giving up seven hits and three earned runs while striking out four Senators. Freshman Chaz Davidson finished out the game, striking out one while allowing two hits in 2.0 innings.

Dylan Harvey led the the Gold and Blue with two hits while crossing the plate once. Diaz, Hudson, Barriere and sophomore
Heath Utterback tallied a hit a piece.
Diaz and Barriere batted in a run each for Tech.
Sophomore
Hunter Greco (0-1) was charged with the loss on the mound. Greco struck out one Senator while scattering four hits and two earned runs.
Tech will host Central Pennsylvania College March 31 in East Bank, West Virginia at the Douglas M. Epling Field. The single nine-inning game is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
