BARBOURVILLE, Kentucky - The WVU Tech softball team earned a 4-0 shutout victory over Union College Sunday afternoon before falling 13-5 (five innings) for the doubleheader split.
The Golden Bears move to 7-17 while Union improves to 24-21.

Mackenzie Wilson (5-5) held the Bulldogs to just five hits in seven innings of work, striking out four opponents for her second shutout victory of the season.

Game Two | WVU Tech 5, Coker 13, five innings (Box Score)The Golden Bears saw hits from Lively (two) and Seewer (three) in the loss. Lively recorded two RBI and two runs while Seewer finished with a double and three RBI.
Junior
Genna Trippett (0-4) drew the start for Tech, pitching 1.1 innings for the loss. Trippett scattered three hits and three earned runs while striking out one Bulldog.
Tech will next travel to West Liberty University for doubleheader action today, Tuesday for a 3:00 p.m. start.
