PIKEVILLE, Kentucky - The WVU Tech softball team lost a pair of games to the University of Pikeville (Kentucky) Wednesday afternoon, 6-2 and 5-3.
Freshmen
MaKayla Waugh and
MiKayla Craze were perfect at the plate in a game each, Waugh going 4-for-4 in game one and Craze, 3-for-3 in the nightcap. Waugh finished with a double, an RBI and a run while Craze recorded a stolen base.

In the circle, sophomore
Mackenzie Wilson pitched 3.2 innings for the loss, striking out one while scattering four hits and four earned runs. Junior
Genna Trippett struck out two batters while giving up just one hit in 2.1 innings of work.
Game Two | WVU Tech 3, UPIKE 5Lively and freshman
Kayla Harbin also had a multiple-hit game, each going 2-for-3 at the plate. Harbin notched a double while she and Lively scored a run each for the Golden Bears.
Freshman
Kyla Shull drew the start pitching in game two, putting in 0.2 innings of work, giving up two hits and no earned runs for the loss. Trippett finished the game with one earned run while striking out two.
The team will look to snap its losing streak when it travels to Glenville State College for a doubleheader, April 9, first pitch scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The series in Lima, Ohio versus the University of Northern Ohio on April 3 has been canceled.
