ELKINS, West Virginia - The WVU Tech softball team earned a split against NCAA DII Davis and Elkins College in Tuesday afternoon doubleheader action, falling in game one, 6-2 before taking the second contest, 5-3. The Golden Bears move to 10-20 while the Senators improve to 19-16.

Mackenzie Wilson (6-7) drew the start for Tech, pitching 5.1 innings for the loss. Wilson scattered five hits and four earned runs while striking out eight Senators.
Game Two | WVU Tech 5, D&E 3 (Box Score)On the mound, Trippett (2-4) held the Senators to just six hits in seven innings of work, striking out four batters while giving up just six hits and three earned runs.
Trippett also finished a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, marking a double.
MaKayla Waugh hit a triple to right field, marking three RBI for the Golden Bears.
Tech will next travel to Glenville State College to play two games April 23, first pitch scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
