Jacque Carroll led the offense and defense for WVU Tech volleyball, but the team fell short to Ohio Christian University in a conference (KIAC) match-up Thursday evening, 3-0. The action (25-18, 25-19, 25-22) in Circleville, Ohio drops Tech to 1-10, 0-3 (KIAC) while the Trailblazers boost their record to 6-8, 1-0 (KIAC).
Carroll marked 12 kills and eight digs. Junior
Keyonna Morrow and freshman
Kayla Hill produced nine and six kills respectively. Freshman Allison Humphries finished with two blocks (two assisted, one solo) and two kills.
Setting up Tech on offense were junior
Courtney Burkhart and freshman
Ana Monteiro, with Burkhart dishing 17 assists and Monteiro eight. The two setters also had an ace each.
The Golden Bears will return to the court when they head to Emory & Hentry College Saturday for a tri-match including contests with the host school and Eastern Mennonite University.
