SALEM, West Virginia - WVU Tech volleyball dropped a 3-1 decision Thursday evening to Salem International University, 25-20, 16-25, 16-25 and 19-25. The Golden Bears are now 0-3 in 2015 while the Tigers are 1-0.
Senior
Jacque Carroll led on offense with 12 kills while junior
Keyonna Morrow was key on defense with a team-high 15 digs and two blocks.
Freshman
Ana Monteiro marked 17 assists while junior
Michala Dean had 10 each of assists and digs, seven kills and an ace. Senior
Chelsea Dean also had a solid night with 14 digs and seven kills.
The Golden Bears return to action September 8 when they host Bluefield State College and the University of Rio Grande, their first Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) match of the season.
