MONTGOMERY, West Virginia — The WVU Tech volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Tuesday at the Tech Tri-Match, losing to Bluefield State College (3-0) and fellow KIAC member University of Rio Grande (3-0) in a non-conference match-up. The losses drop Tech's record to 0-5 in this young season while the Blues improve to 1-1 and the RedStorm to 5-2.
The Golden Bears dropped match one versus Bluefield State with scores of 25-23, 25-13 and 25-16. In the nightcap, Tech fell 25-19, 25-15 and 25-18.
Tech was led on the night by junior
Keyonna Morrow who recorded 15 digs and 14 kills. Senior
Jaymee Hannan posted a team-high 17 digs while producing 19 assists and junior
Michala Dean led in assists with 21 to go with six kills.

Jacque Carroll finished with nine kills on the night and junior
Mackenzie Snare had eight in match two. Freshman
Ana Monteiro served two aces, one each match, to bring her season total to a team-high six.
The squad will return to action next Tuesday, September 15, when they host Salem International University in the Baisi Athletic Center at 6:00 p.m.
