MONTGOMERY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball won their third River States Conference (RSC) match Tuesday evening 3-0 against Ohio Christian University. With set scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-21, the Golden Bears move to 15-12, 3-5 (RSC) in 2016 while the Trailblazers hold a record of 6-19, 0-7 (RSC).
Senior
Keyonna Morrow led the way with ten kills while freshman
Carolina Bologna posted nine and sophomore
Kayla Hill had eight. Morrow also dug up 11 Trailblazers' balls while Hill produced three service aces.
On defense, senior
Michala Dean recorded a match-high 21 digs to go with three assists and two aces. Sophomore
Ana Monteiro, freshman
Emily Kidd, Morrow and Bologna all posted a block solo.
Freshman
Konstantina Pateli is currently ranked No. 9 in the nation (NAIA DI) in total assists and marked a match-high 31 in the victory. Pateli also added to her service ace total with three Tuesday. The Athens, Greece native is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation with total service aces. Pateli also marked five kills and four digs.
The Gold and Blue will return to the court on Saturday, October 15 when they travel to Rio Grande, Ohio to face Indiana University East and Ohio Christian.
