RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- WVU Tech volleyball split 1-1 Saturday in River States Conference (RSC) action with a 3-0 loss to Point Park University before defeating Carlow University 3-0. The Golden Bears are now 14-12, 2-5 (RSC) in 2016.
The Pioneers took the first match with scores of 25-23, 25-16 and 25-10. Tech defeated the Celtics 25-23, 25-23 and 25-20.
In the win, sophomore
Kayla Hill and senior
Keyonna Morrow led the attack with eight kills each. Freshman
Carolina Bologna finished with seven kills while sophomore
Ana Monteiro and freshman
Emily Kidd had six each.

Konstantina Pateli put out 29 assists to lead the match while picking up eight digs.
On defense, senior libero
Michala Dean had a match-high 23 digs while Monteiro posted 13 digs. At the net, Bologna finished with four block assists and a block solo.
The team will continue RSC play when they host Ohio Christian University Tuesday, October 11 in the Baisi Athletic Center at 7 p.m.
