MONTGOMERY, West Virginia -- The WVU Tech volleyball team dropped a River State Conference (RSC) match to the University of Rio Grande Tuesday evening, 3-0. The set scores were 25-13, 25-21 and 25-14.
After their final regular season RSC match, the Golden Bears hold a record of 20-15, 5-8 (RSC) while the RedStorm are 21-13, 11-5 (RSC).
Freshman
Carolina Bologna (10), sophomore
Ana Monteiro (9) and junior
Bailey Lotozo (6) led Tech on the attack while freshman
Konstantina Pateli posted a team-high 26 assists.
On defense, seniors
Michala Dean and
Keyonna Morrow posted nine digs each to lead the Golden Bears. Monteiro and Pateli dug up six RedStorm balls a piece.
The Gold and Blue will end their regular season when they travel to Bluefield College Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. match in Bluefield, Virginia.
