KINGSPORT, Tennessee -- WVU Tech men's basketball fell to (RV) Southeastern University Saturday at the NAIA DII Showcase in Kingsport, Tennessee, 76-66. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 2-3 while the Fire improve to 3-2 with the victory.
The Golden Bears found themselves down 14 at halftime and could only get as close at six points late in the game.
Southeastern shot 52.7 percent (29-for-55) to Tech's 33.8 percent (22-for-65) from the floor while the Gold and Blue out-rebounded their opponent 42-33.
Juniors
Michael Scott (21 points, 12 rebounds) and
Ryan Atkins (21 points, 6 rebounds) led the way for Tech. Fellow classmate
Elisha Boone rounded out the top offensive contributors with 12 points.
The team will play again on Sunday in the NAIA DII Showcase against Milligan College at 3 p.m.
