DELRAY BEACH, Florida — Half of the 2016 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship quarterfinals field was set during the first day of play on Monday at Hilltopper Stadium including No. 8 seed WVU Tech. The Gold and Blue will face No. 1 Hastings College on Wednesday, November 30 with a kickoff slated for 11 a.m. in Delray Beach, Florida.
RECORDS
- The Golden Bears (18-2-2) enter the game after a 2-1 victory over No. 9 MidAmerica Nazarene November 28.
- The Broncos (22-0) earned a spot in the quarterfinals with a victory off of penalty kicks against No. 16 Marymount College (California).
GOLDEN BEAR NOTES
- Tech earned its first-ever victory at the final site.
- The team has posted four goals compared to their opponents' two in the championship as of November 29.
- The Gold and Blue are ranked No. 1 in the nation (NAIA DI) for total assists with 67 and No. 2 with 3.050 assists per game.
