NEW ALBANY, Indiana — WVU Tech baseball recently made program history with 15 consecutive wins but Indiana University Southeast snapped the streak Friday afternoon sweeping a doubleheader over the Golden Bears 4-2 and 7-1. Tech is now 16-4, 8-2 (KIAC) this season while the Grenadiers boost their record to 12-8, 6-0 (KIAC).
Early in conference play, IU Southeast is currently at the top with their perfect 6-0 record while Tech is holding at No. 2 in the KIAC standings. University of Rio Grande, who received votes in the last NAIA Coaches' Poll, is 6-2 in the KIAC and No. 3 in the standings.

Junior
Austin Southcott (3-1) drew the start on the bump, pitching 5.1 innings for the loss. Southcott struck out five Grenadiers while scattering four hits and three earned runs.

Southcott was a perfect 1-for-1 at the plate, notching a run scored while Suzuki drove him in in the top of the seventh for Tech's lone run.
On the mound, senior
Josh Hudson (3-2) had two strike outs while giving up eight hits and six earned runs for the loss after 2.2 innings.
The Golden Bears will look for redemption tomorrow, Saturday when they face IU Southeast for the final two contests of the four-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. in New Albany, Indiana.
