CLERMONT, Florida — The WVU Tech softball team completed their trip to Florida with back-to-back wins, finishing their nine-game schedule in the PFX Games with a 6-3 victory over No. 16 Southeastern University before defeating Middlebury College 11-5.
Tech went 3-6 overall last week, picking up the W's against Southeastern and Middlebury as well as taking an 8-0 win over Mount Mercy University the first day of the event.
The team fell to Tufts University (16-11, eight innings), the University of Northwestern Ohio (12-3, 1-0 and 8-6) and game one of the doubleheader with Southeastern (18-0).

Skylar Connelly posted a double and a RBI while R. Rusch and Craze also marked a run batted in each.
In the circle, Wilson (3-5) pitched a complete game for the win, scattering five hits and two earned runs while striking out three batters.
Friday | WVU Tech 11, Middlebury 5 | Box ScoreTrippett dominated at the plate and led Tech to the 11-5 victory with three home runs and eight RBIs. The Parkersburg, West Virginia native was 3-for-4 while at bat, crossing the plate three times herself.

MaKayla Waugh also had a standout game, posting three hits, one RBI and a run scored.

Kyla Shull (2-1-1) put in 6.0 innings of work for the win in the circle. Shull gave up six hits and two earned runs while retiring one opponent with strikes.
The team will next host Davis & Elkins College in Smithers, West Virginia Tuesday. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 3 p.m.
