CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The WVU Tech baseball team has now won nine consecutive games as they earned a four-game series sweep against Ohio Christian University in KIAC play. The Golden Bears are 10-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in conference play after taking the final two games in the series Monday afternoon 14-2 and 6-0 against the Trailblazers (1-9, 0-4 KIAC).
The team defeated Ohio Christian on Saturday in East Bank, West Virginia with scores of 13-0 and 21-0.
Senior
Dylan Harvey helped lead Tech to the victories with a solid effort at the plate, finishing 4-for-5 including a double, a triple and a home run. The Richmond, Virginia native drove in four runs while crossing the plate three times himself. Harvey also added to his total of stolen bases (9) this season with two.
Junior
Chris Davidson (2-1) drew the start in game one, pitching his way to a victory after scattering seven hits and two earned runs while striking out three Trailblazers. In game two, senior
Kyle Sager (3-0) stayed undefeated on the mound after 5.0 innings of work and three strike outs in the shut out win for the Gold and Blue.

Victor Diaz and freshman
Roy Suzuki all had multi-hit games in Tech's 14-2 win. Diaz knocked a double, recording two runs and RBI while Espinosa scored two runs and Suzuki drove in two runs and posted a score.
On the bases, junior
Brady Groesbeck and Diaz recorded two stolen bases each while
Sebastian Gomez Herrera had one.

Tommy Weaver, this week's KIAC Player of the Week, posted two RBI after going 2-for-3 at the plate. Weaver also scored one of the Golden Bears' runs. The Luray, Virginia native is currently enjoying two No. 1 rankings in the nation (NAIA DI) — batting average (.647) and slugging percentage (1.176).
Junior
Hunter Greco and senior
Brandon Tucker threw an inning each for the Gold and Blue. Greco gave up just two hits while striking out one batter.
The team will look to continue their winning ways when they play at the University of Pikeville tomorrow, Tuesday for doubleheader action. The first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
