EAST BANK, West Virginia — The WVU Tech baseball team is enjoying a seven-game winning streak after defeating Bluefield State College 16-1 Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Bears improve to 25-12 while the Blues fall to 9-25 after the one nine-inning game at Douglas M. Epling Field in East Bank, West Virginia.
The Gold and Blue out hit Bluefield State 20-6. Of the 12 Tech players with hits, six had a multi-hit game including juniorÂ
Sebastian Gomez Herrera who went 3-for-3 at the plate with four RBI, a double and a run scored.

Dylan Harvey also finished with three hits, driving in two runs off a triple in the fourth and registering three runs scored.

Doug Prather had two hits each. Hudson and Groesbeck marked two RBI while Levine had one.Â

Marcus Rodriguez managed a stolen base each. Rodriguez also recorded two RBI off a double to left center in the fourth.
Senior
Brandon Tucker (2-1-1) drew the start on the mound, recording the victory after 3.0 innings of work. The Blacksburg, Virginia native retired three batters via strikes while giving up just three hits and one walk.
Tech will look to continue the streak as they play host to Cincinnati Christian University Friday and Saturday for a four-game KIAC series. First pitch of the doubleheader Friday is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the two-game series finale will begin at noon on Saturday.
