PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- WVU Tech men's soccer earned their second shutout in 2016 with a 2-0 victory at Shawnee State University Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Bears move to 4-1-1 this season while the Bears hold a record of 0-3.
Sophomore
Matias Pazos marked both scores for the Gold and Blue. Pazos posted the first goal in the 36
th minute off assists from freshmen
Sergio Sanchez and
Ignacio Tellechea.
The Madrid, Spain native found the back of the net for the final goal in minute 66. Junior
Francisco Neto was credited the assist. The goals marked Pazos' first two in 2016.
Senior
Hunter Moles, who was named USCAA Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday, marked two saves in 90 minutes of play.
The team will return to the pitch when they travel to Georgia Gwinnett College on Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
