BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech men's soccer ended the regular season with a 3-0 River States Conference (RSC) shutout over Cincinnati Christian University Saturday evening after celebrating their seniors. The Golden Bears boost their record to 7-9-2, 6-2-1 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 10-5-1, 3-4-1 (RSC).
Senior
Francisco Neto struck first and second for the Gold and Blue, finding the back of the net unassisted (10') and with the help of sophomore
Eduardo Gutierrez in the second half (55').
Sophomore
Jesus Naves posted his fifth goal of the season with a shot from the middle, 25 yards out, that sailed over Cincinnati Christian's keeper's head.
The team finished with 12 shots on frame including a game-high four from Neto and three from Naves.
Freshman
Jose Domingo Xam-mar (5-3) came away with the win protecting the net after 51 minutes of play and zero goals allowed.
