LAKELAND, Florida -- WVU Tech softball dropped a doubleheader at Southeastern University Wednesday afternoon in Lakeland, Florida.
The Golden Bears now hold a record of 1-17 while the Fire, who is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation (NAIA), move to 17-6 after scores of 6-0 and 3-2 (nine innings).

Sophomore
Skylar Connelly and junior
Kayla Harbin recorded a hit each to make up Tech's two hits.
Freshman
Karina Atanacio drew the start in the circle, pitching 4.2 innings for the Gold and Blue. Atanacio struck out one batter while giving up eight hits and three earned runs.
Fellow classmate
Madeline Olson threw for 1.1 innings, scattering three hits and two earned runs.

The teams went to extra innings but a walk-off single from Southeastern's Brandee Pietrzak drove in the winning run for the Fire.
Tech's runs came in the sixth inning when Connelly and Olson crossed the plate for the Golden Bears.
Connelly reached on a single from Olson and a Fire error. Olson's run came off a single to left field from freshman
Kayte Blandford.
Connelly finished with two hits and a RBI while Blandford and Olson marked a hit each. Blandford also marked her third career RBI.
Atanacio suffered the loss after 3.1 innings of work, two strikeouts and one earned run on five hits.
Senior
Mackenzie Wilson pitched for 3.1 innings, giving up six hits and zero earned runs.
The team will return to the PFX Games in Clermont, Florida tomorrow, Thursday when they face Spring Arbor University and Cardinal Stritch University.
