WILMORE, Kentucky -- WVU Tech baseball took a four-game River States Conference (RSC) series, 3-1, against Asbury University Thursday and Friday in Wilmore, Kentucky. The Golden Bears (24-26, 16-12 RSC) won the series opener, 13-0, while the Eagles (16-31, 8-20) rallied for a 13-10 game two victory before Tech went 2-0 on Friday with scores of 15-6 and 7-2.
Senior
Tanner Levine, who is currently tied for 13
th in the nation (NAIA) with 19 total doubles, helped lead the way for the Golden Bears at the dish. The Long Beach, California native finished with eight hits, eight RBI, eight runs scored and three doubles over four games.

Junior
Wyatt Belinda led the team with six RBI, four hits and a run scored, which included a two-run home run and a double.
Seniors
Alex Kotheimer and
Trevor Lam and freshman
Jacob Reimold also tallied a multi-hit game, marking two each.
Levine recorded a hit and walked twice towards his four runs scored and two RBI.
Junior
Jerod Jobst (5-3) pitched a complete game for the win, striking out four Eagles while giving up just three hits in the shutout.
Game Two | Asbury 13, WVU Tech 10 | Box Score
An 11-run fifth inning for Asbury propelled them past Tech who had already produced eight runs. The Golden Bears managed two more runs but the Eagles held on for the victory.
Levine led the way for the Gold and Blue with four hits while Lam and fellow senior
Sebastian Gomez Herrera had three each.
Of the nine runs driven in for Tech, Kotheimer, Levine and senior
Brady Groesbeck had two a piece.
Junior
Dalton Grisell took the loss on the bump after 0.1 innings, scattering four earned runs and two hits.
Senior
Jayson Sykora drew the start on the mound, throwing for 4.1 innings and striking out three batters. Freshman
Michael Rotenberry retired three opponents via strikes after 1.1 innings.

Levine finished with two hits and reached via balls three times towards three RBI and two runs scored.
Prather marked two RBI, a double and a run scored while Lam drove two runs in.
Senior
Jarron Monroe pitched for 3.2 innings towards his fourth win on the mound this season. Monroe struck out three batters while giving up five hits and one earned run.
Game Four | WVU Tech 7, Asbury 2 | Box Score
Davidson (6-2) pitched a complete game for the victory, matching his career-high with seven strike outs. This marks Davidson's fourth complete game win in 2017 and brings his total strike outs to 40.
Davidson also produced a triple, a run scored and a RBI at the plate for the Gold and Blue.
Kotheimer and Prather had multi-hit games, recording two each.
The five RBI the Golden Bears recorded were provided by Levine, Belinda, Davidson, Groesbeck and Herrera.
