CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- The WVU Tech baseball team swept a River States Conference (RSC) doubleheader Friday afternoon at Ohio Christian University. The Golden Bears (26-26, 18-12 RSC) took game one 14-8 before defeating the Trailblazers (7-39, 4-23 RSC) 15-7 in the nightcap.
The teams will complete the four-game league series tomorrow, Saturday in Circleville, Ohio (weather pending). With the wins, Tech is now No. 4 in the RSC standings at six games back while Point Park University holds the top spot with a conference record of 24-6.

The team combined for 15 hits including three from freshman
Jacob Reimold. Reimold also marked two RBI and a run scored.
Seniors

Tanner Levine and
Trevor Lam had two each. Levine and Lam posted a double a piece while freshman

Sebastian Gomez Herrera all drove in two runs each. Herrera blasted a lead-off home run in the fourth inning to record his first career long ball for the Golden Bears.
Junior
Jerod Jobst (6-3) drew the start on the mound and earned a win after four innings of work. Jobst scattered nine hits and one earned run while striking out five Trailblazers.
Redshirt freshman
Ryan Bayle threw for two innings, giving up four hits and four earned runs while retiring two batters via strikes.
Freshman
Nathan Plumb finished out the game, striking out one batter while giving up two hits and three earned runs.Â

Levine finished a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish with four RBI and two runs scored. The Long Beach, California native also knocked a double and a three-run home run. Levine currently holds two No. 20 rankings in the nation (NAIA) including total doubles (20) and total hits (76).
Lam, who produced another double, finished 4-for-5 at the plate with three runs scored and a RBI while senior
Brady Groesbeck also had a multi-hit game, marking three towards his two RBI and one run scored.
Junior
Wyatt Belinda and Reimold also hit doubles in the final contest of the day.
Senior
Chris Davidson (7-2) pitched six innings for the victory on the bump, striking out a career-high nine opponents. Davidson gave up eight hits and four earned runs while not walking any Trailblazers.
Plumb also saw action in game two (0.2 innings), scattering two hits and three earned runs while recording a K.
