  • The Golden Bears finished 2-2 during the tournament including 3-1 losses on the final day to Ohio Valley University and West Virginia Wesleyan College.
  • Tech is now 9-3 in 2017 after set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 13-25 and 23-25 against Ohio Valley (3-4) and 25-27, 25-20, 13-25 and 23-25 vs. West Virginia Wesleyan (2-7).
  • Pateli, an Athens, Greece native, finished the Classic with 145 assists including a total of 86 in the eight sets played against the Fighting Scots and the Bobcats on Saturday.
  • She also racked up six service aces over two days.
  • Pateli is currently No. 17 in the NAIA for 23 total service aces and No. 18 in assists per game with 10.350.
  • On the attack Saturday, junior Ana Monteiro led the Golden Bears with 28 kills while picking up 15 digs and marking three service aces.
  • Freshman Lauren McCall marked 24 kills while senior Bailey Lotozo put away 22 attacks.
  • McCall also marked 21 digs while Lotozo had nine digs.
  • Freshman Sawyer Hawgood led the way in the back row for Tech as libero, making 24 digs.
  • At the net, fellow classmate Michaela Hall had a team-best three block solos and six block assists.

LAST GAME
  • Earned a 2-0 victory over Union College.
  • The first goal came from sophomore Veronica Nobles in minute 18.
  • Nobles found the back of the net off a free kick that she drove past Union's keeper, Juliana Schardong.
  • Freshman Katie Bol marked her first collegiate score on an unassisted goal in the second half.
  • Senior Ruby Bingham began the scoring play with a corner kick sent to Bol.
  • Bol then finished by following up with another shot after Schardong blocked her first attempt in the same play.
  • Senior Martha Reyna (3-1) continued being strong protecting the net for the Gold and Blue, earning her first shutout of the season.
  • Reyna finished the complete game with two saves.

  • Fell to No. 16 Bryan College 1-0.
  • Senior Francisco Neto led the Gold and Blue with two shots on goal towards the team's five shots on goal (eight shots).
  • The Lions managed eight shots on goal (14 shots) in 90 minutes, including the unassisted game-winning goal from Joe Goreham in the first half (39:43).
  • Freshman goalkeeper Lewis Everett stopped seven balls after a complete game and now has 20 saves and a .909 save percentage.
  • The London, England native is currently ranked No. 30 in the nation (NAIA) with 6.5 saves per game.

LAST MEET
  • The men's freshmen filled squad finished third out of four teams in the Golden Bear Classic II held at the Beckley-Stratton Middle School.
  • Four runners competed for the women's team who finished without a team score.
  • Michael Ecker-Randolph finished 8th to lead the Gold and Blue with a time of 13:39.3 during the 4k.
  • Alex Bolt crossed at 14:41.9 for a 16th-place showing while Steven Smith ran a 14:58.9 to round out Tech's top three finishers.
  • For the women, freshmen Makenzy Mandeville competed, ending with a time of 18:39.8 (17th), Jaelynn Parks finished 24th with a time of 19:31.4 and Hannah Pride followed closely, clocking a 19:41.6 during the 4k.
