MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- WVU Tech men's soccer earned their first victory and shutout in 2017 with a 3-0 win at Mount Vernon Nazarene University Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Bears move to 1-5-1 this season while the Cougars hold a record of 4-4.

The first goal was a MVSU own goal in minute ten. Sophomore Sergio Sanchez posted the next score in the 58th minute off the assist from junior Matias Pazos. Sanchez followed up a blocked shot off of the Cougars' keeper to find the back of the net.

Freshman goalkeeper Jose Domingo Xam-mar (1-1) marked one save in 90 minutes of play for the shutout in goal.
