PIPPAS PASSES, Kentucky -- WVU Tech men's basketball earned a 103-96 victory over Alice Lloyd College (ALC) Tuesday evening. The River States Conference (RSC) win moves the Golden Bears to 12-8, 6-3 (RSC) while the Eagles hold a record of 10-8, 3-6 (RSC).
Tech trailed 55-54 at half, but held the high scoring Eagles to 41 second half points. Alice Lloyd leads the nation in scoring at 95 points per game.
The Gold and Blue saw huge games from juniors
Thomas Collins (32 points, 8 rebounds)
Brandon Shingles (26 points, 9 rebounds) and freshman
Tamon Scruggs (23 points, 6 rebounds). Shingles was 5-for-8 from three-point range and Scruggs finished 4-for-6.
Senior
Michael Scott added 11 points and 11 rebounds to record his seventh double-double of the season.
The Golden Bears return home tomorrow, Thursday as they host Cincinnati Christian University in the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center.
