BECKLEY, West Virginia -- Golden Bear basketball earned a 99-95 River States Conference (RSC) win over Indiana University Kokomo Saturday afternoon. (RV) WVU Tech moves to 14-9, 8-4 this season while the Cougars hold a record of 11-12, 7-4 (RSC).
Junior
Thomas Collins led all scorers with 31 points off of 12-for-16 shooting. The Jacksonville, Florida native also marked five assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Senior
Michael Scott recorded his ninth double-double of the season with 20 points and 14 rebounds to go with three blocks and two assists.
Freshman
Andreas Jönsson finished 5-for-8 from three-point range towards 19 points while fellow classmate
Tamon Scruggs marked 12 points to round out Tech's top offensive contributors.
As a team, the Gold and Blue finished 38-for-68 (55.9 percent) from the floor compared to the Cougars' 35-for-78 (44.9 percent) effort. Tech also outrebounded their conference opponent, 43-36.
