BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball pulled out another thriller at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center Wednesday evening with a 75-74 victory over Bluefield College during the Big Atlantic Classic. The Golden Bears boost their overall record to 15-9 while the Rams move to 12-8.
The Gold and Blue saw a balanced offense including four players who finished in double-digits. Senior
Michael Scott had 13 points and 11 rebounds to mark his fourth consecutive double-double. Junior
Thomas Collins recorded 14 points to go with eight rebounds.

Brandon Shingles came off the bench to pour in 11 points while dishing four assists. Freshman
Andreas Jönsson rounded out the top offensive contributors with ten points and three assists.
Tech held the Rams to 39 percent (30-for-77) shooting from the field while finishing 47.3 percent (26-for-55) as a team. Bluefield outrebounded the Golden Bears, 43-36.
Up next, the Golden Bears will return to River States Conference (RSC) play when they travel to University of Rio Grande Saturday.
