MIDWAY, Kentucky -- WVU Tech men's soccer earned a 4-0 River States Conference (RSC) shut out victory at Midway University Thursday afternoon. The Golden Bears now have a record of 12-1-4, 6-0-1 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 5-10, 4-4 (RSC).
Junior
Allan Costa finished with two goals in the win including goal one after four minutes off the assist from junior
Sergio Sanchez followed by Tech's second goal in minute 44 with assistance from sophomore
Cristian Cubedo Aymerich and junior
Manuel Garcia.
Freshman
Jaime Rodriguez marked his eighth goal in 2018 in minute 51, unassisted. Tech's final goal, also unassisted, was posted by junior
Jesus Naves in minute 88 off a free kick.
Junior
Jorge Martinez protected Tech's net for the full 90 minutes, making one stop while allowing zero goals. The Eagles' keeper, Andres Ordonez, was forced to make three Golden Bear stops while allowing four goals.
The team will finish up the regular season this Saturday, October 27 at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.
