BECKLEY, West Virginia -- The WVU Tech volleyball squad dropped a 3-1 decision to River States Conference (RSC) foe Point Park University Saturday afternoon in Beckley. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 20-6, 4-3 (RSC) while the Pioneers improve to 12-6, 5-1 (RSC).
Tech took the first set 25-21 before falling 19-25, 20-25 and 21-25.

Katelyn Byrd led Tech's attack with 13 kills while senior
Ana Monteiro and freshman
Valentina Abondano had 11 each.

Konstantina Pateli tallied 42 assists to go with ten digs. Fellow junior
Alice Amitrano led the defense with 14 digs while sophomore libero
Sawyer Hawgood picked up 12 digs.
The Gold and Blue return to play Tuesday when they host University of Rio Grande in more conference action.
