MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The 2018 River States Conference Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Team includes 41 student-athletes who compete highly in academics and athletics. 

To be honored, student-athletes must have a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher, be nominated by their institution and compete in women's cross country for an RSC school .Asbury (Ky.) University led the conference with seven women's cross country team members named.

The NAIA has a similar awards program, the NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete award, which is for juniors and seniors who have a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.
