BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball dropped an 84-67 River States Conference (RSC) decision to No. 2 Indiana University East Saturday afternoon in Beckley, West Virginia. The Golden Bears move to 17-10, 10-5 (RSC) while the Red Wolves hold a record of 26-2, 15-0 (RSC).
Tech was led by senior
Michael Scott who poured in 21 points while pulling down nine boards. Junior
Thomas Collins also hit double-digits with 13 points to go with six rebounds.
Freshman
Tamon Scruggs posted nine points and senior
Cole Schoolcraft finished with eight points while junior
Brandon Shingles and freshman
Andreas Jönsson had seven points each.
Scott and Scruggs had three steals each towards the team's ten.
The Gold and Blue finished 23-for-56 (41.1 percent) from the field while the Red Wolves shot 33-for-63 (52.4 percent).
Tech continues home and conference play when they host Carlow University Tuesday, February 13 in the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center.
