BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech baseball swept Ohio Christian University in Saturday's River States Conference (RSC) doubleheader to win the series, 2-1. The Golden Bears (6-14, 2-4 RSC) defeated the Trailblazers (4-16, 1-5 RSC) in extra innings 8-7 before taking the final contest, 8-1.

The Golden Bears recorded 12 hits as a team including three from senior
Wyatt Belinda and two each from junior
Sean Crosby, sophomore
Jacob Reimold and freshman
Kent Rooklin.
Of the eight RBI, sophomore
Dariel Torres led the way with three while Belinda tallied two. Crosby, Reimold (2) and Belinda all knocked doubles.
On the bases, Torres, Rooklin and junior
Corey Lewis each had a steal.
Senior
Jerod Jobst drew the start on the bump, throwing for 6.0 innings towards five strike outs. Belinda (1-0) earned the victory after 0.2 innings of work.
Freshman
Will Mullins struck out three Trailblazers while fellow classmate
Calyb King retired one batter via strikes.

Tech had 13 hits including Belinda finishing a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Rooklin and freshman
Alex Tennant tallied two hits and two RBI each.

Brett Linton (1-2) pitched a complete game towards eight strike outs and one earned run.
