LAKELAND, Florida -- WVU Tech softball dropped a doubleheader at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida Tuesday. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 2-16 while the Flames move to 21-8. Tech fell in game one 3-1 before losing 8-0 (Five Innings).
On Sunday, Tech defeated Concordia University, 4-3 to kick off Spring Break play in Florida. The Gold and Blue continue competing at the PFX Games with two tomorrow, Wednesday against Silver Lake College (10:00 a.m.) and Queens College (2:30 p.m.).

The Golden Bears tallied five hits including one each from freshmen
Alexis Lopez and
Lauren Oxford, junior
Kacie Cahill, senior
MaKayla Waugh and sophomore
Kayte Blandford.
Lopez, who scored Tech's lone run, and Oxford recorded a stolen base each.

Karina Atanacio (1-5) drew the start, pitching 5.2 innings towards three strike outs and the loss.

Amanda McDonald recorded the team's three hits in the loss. Oxford, who was 1-for-2 at the plate, knocked a double.
McDonald pitched (0-6) 2.1 innings towards the loss, striking out two batters. Atanacio retired one Flame via strikes.
