MONTREAT, North Carolina -- WVU Tech and Montreat College played to a 0-0 tie after double overtime in Montreat, North Carolina Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 2-0-1 while the Cavaliers move to 1-1-1.
The teams totaled 13 shots on frame including seven from the Gold and Blue. Juniors
Jesus Naves and
Gavin Shiels recorded a team-high two each.
Fellow junior
Jose Domingo Xam-mar (2-0-1) stopped three Cavalier attempts in net after 110 minutes of play while the team was credited with three saves.
Montreat's Jesus Ramos posted four saves in goal after a complete game.
Tech also held the advantage in corner kicks, 8-5.
The Golden Bears will return home Saturday, September 1 when they host St. Andrews University for a scheduled noon kickoff.
