BLUEFIELD, Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball is now 3-2 in 2018 after defeating Bluefield College 3-0 with scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-21 Tuesday evening. The Rams now hold a record of 1-1.
Senior
Ana Monteiro led the attack with 13 kills while freshman
Valentina Abondano had nine. Juniors
Carolina Bologna and
Katelyn Byrd rounded out the top Golden Bear offense with eight kills each.
Junior
Konstantina Pateli recorded a match-high 40 assists to go with 11 digs and two kills.
Sophomore
Sawyer Hawgood picked up a game-best 17 digs while Abondano had nine and junior
Alice Amitrano seven.
Tech next travels to Marietta, Ohio for the Marietta River City Classic Friday-Saturday where they will face Earlham College, Kenyon College, Franciscan University and the host school, Marietta College.
