BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's soccer fell to NCAA DII opponent West Virginia Wesleyan College 2-0 Sunday afternoon in Beckley, West Virginia. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 2-2 while the Bobcats move to 4-1 in 2018.

Tech marked seven shots (three on goal) compared to the Bobcats' 20 shots (14 on goal). 

Freshman Brittany Dye and sophomores Domenica Moncayo, Patricia Fisher and Meghan Goldman had one shot on frame each.

Wesleyan's goals were scored by Shannon Shawgo (3') and Natalie Prater (73').

Freshman Jenna Miller (2-2) protected the net for the full 90 minutes, making seven stops while allowing two goals.

The Gold and Blue will return to play Saturday, September 22 when they host Indiana University East to kick off their River States Conference (RSC) schedule.
