BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech men's soccer earned a 3-1 River States Conference (RSC) victory over Indiana University East Saturday afternoon in Beckley. The Golden Bears are still undefeated in 2018 with a record of 7-0-3, 1-0 (RSC) while the Red Wolves move to 3-6, 0-2 (RSC).
Tech was on the board first when junior
Rolando Sanchez found the back of the net off the perfect pass from fellow junior
Alvaro Tina in the 23
rd minute.
IU East's Barou Yoplo tallied the Red Wolves lone goal in minute 43.
Junior
Jesus Naves posted the winning goal when he put the ball past IU East's keeper, Gianluca Marchetti, with two minutes to play.

Manuel Garcia off the assist from freshman
Ben Mawby in minute 89.
As a team, Tech marked 19 shots on goal while holding the Red Wolves to just five. The Gold and Blue were led by Sanchez and junior
Eduardo Gutierrez with four shots on frame each.
In goal, junior
Jose Domingo Xam-mar started for Tech, marking one save in 45 minutes of play. Fellow junior
Jorge Martinez (1-0) was awarded the win after one save, zero goals allowed and 45 minutes protecting the net.
Tech will return to action for another RSC contest when they travel to Carlow University Thursday, September 27 for a 7:30 p.m. kick off.
