ATHENS, West Virginia -- WVU Tech is now enjoying a five-match winning streak after finishing 4-0 at the Concord Classic. The Golden Bears, who now hold a record of 11-3, defeated Lees-McRae College (3-1) and opponent Concord University (3-2) the final day of the tournament in Athens, West Virginia.
Juniors
Carolina Bologna and
Konstantina Pateli were named to the Concord Classic All-Tournament team. Bologna had 46 kills, 11 digs, five block solos and six block assists while Pateli recorded 156 assists, 13 kills and 28 digs.

Junior
Emily Kidd posted a career-high 14 kills to go with two block solos and two block assists in the victory over Lees-McRae.
Fellow classmate
Katelyn Byrd had 12 kills while Bologna and sophomore
Michaela Hall had 11 each.
Pateli marked 50 assists and nine digs while sophomore libero
Sawyer Hawgood picked up a game-best 16 digs and freshman
Valentina Abondano had ten digs.

Bologna celebrated a career-high 20 kills in the win over Concord University. She tallied four digs, two service aces and a block solo.
Pateli handled the ball and put out 63 assists which was also a career-high. She marked a team-high 15 digs and two kills.
Senior
Ana Monteiro posted 15 kills while junior
Katelyn Byrd had 14 and Kidd recorded ten.
Abondano and Hawgood tallied 13 digs each to help the back row defense while the team totaled 14 block assists in the front row including four from Bologna and three each from Monteiro and Kidd.
Tech will return to the court Friday, September 14 when they travel to Saint Mary of the Woods, Indiana to face Midway University.
