BECKLEY, West Virginia -- The No. 11 ranked (NAIA DII) WVU Tech is still perfect in River States Conference (RSC) play, 5-0, after earning a 104-77 victory over No. 25 Indiana University Southeast Thursday evening in the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center. The Golden Bears are now 14-2 overall while the Grenadiers move to 10-6, 3-2 (RSC).
Tech was led by senior
Brandon Shingles and sophomore
Junior Arrey with 22 points each. Shingles finished 5-for-7 from three-point range while Arrey finished a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
Shingles also posted four assists, four rebounds and a block while Arrey recorded five rebounds, four assists and a steal.
Junior
Dominik King came off the bench to pour in 17 points including a 5-for-7 effort from the three-point line. King also pulled down four rebounds.
Senior
Elisha Boone was a rebound and two assists away from a triple-double with 12 points, nine boards and eight assists. Boone also had two blocks and a steal.
WVU Tech finished 35-for-67 (52.2 percent) from the field while holding the Grenadiers to just 28-for-68 (41.2 percent) shooting. The Gold and Blue also held the advantage in rebounds, 48-31.
WVU Tech returns to action Saturday in the Beckley to continue conference play when they host Brescia University.
