BECKLEY, West Virginia -- No. 21 WVU Tech men's soccer is set to host No. 10 University of Rio Grande Thursday, October 17 for a 7 p.m. kick off in Beckley. The women's teams are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. before the men's battle.

The men's squad is still undefeated after their first 12 matches with 11 wins and one draw. Tech has players from top academies all across the world who work together and wish to get the W in this upcoming fixture against the RedStorm. Rio Grande currently holds a record of 11-2, 5-0 (RSC).

WVU Tech Student Life will be hosting a pregame tailgate at the YMCA Paul Cline Memorial Complex where men's soccer apparel will be given to a lucky fans. Students can grab a shuttle that departs campus at 6 p.m. to make the tailgate and enjoy the provided hot dogs and pizza.

The local soccer club, Legacy FC, has also been invited to come out and enjoy the intense soccer match this promises to be.

Thursday night's contest has all the requirements to be a great battle. It will be a fun family night where all those who enjoy watching the game of soccer are encouraged to come out and support the Golden Bears. Tech is hoping to pack the stands and make it loud.
